Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actor from Romania and Germany. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her career in showbiz early. She was a lead actress in TV dramas as young as 16 years old. In the Oscar-nominated film Downfall, her role as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also critically acclaimed. The other Oscar nominated film starring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra has been involved in numerous significant international and national productions throughout her career. A few of them include the British biographical film Control, the Greek drama film The Dust of Time, as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon. She was also in the jury panel of the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
