Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is famous for her roles as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of 16, she had already been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Her critically acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like the role of the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge, in the commercially and critically popular Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra was engaged in numerous important projects both locally and internationally. They comprise British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as well as French history mini-series Napoleon. She also remained member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
